Anyone else hearing this?

(190 posts)Did a lot of people in. Those who fell into Q anon, I believe, were predisposed to schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder and after the strange mix of the biology, isolation, and uncertainty, that trend pulled some of our more mentally unbalanced Americans into the fringe. Sigh.
Edit: if this doesnt open the world to mental health awareness, idk what will.

Q didnt reinvent the wheel, hell these people did this to themselves. Just like any other cult it starts with casting a net to catch a few stray fish, shower them with love, cut them off from their past, only they (the leader usually) knows the truth, eventually the wayward fish buys in and helps casting another net.

(190 posts)- thats what we are here for. And you actually brought a lot of insight to some clear reasoning I didnt think about. Of course they needed the belonging... I know we are just regular civilians, but where do we even begin to try and resolve it?

(2,574 posts)These people are tragically and irrevocably stupid. Hopelessly clueless.
If we can manage to avoid them, and keep them quarantined from power, they will kill themselves off in time, hopefully without taking us with them. They have no ability to adapt, having lost touch with the real world.

(938 posts)The people in Idiocracy were mostly well-meaning and good-natured; they recognized average Joe as an authority whose intelligence would be an asset and tapped him as an important advisor. The idiots were dealing with now are staggeringly malignant and willfully ignorant.

(42,715 posts)Apparently they believe all amendments to the Constitution post-1871 are invalid (thus March 4 is still the operative inauguration day), which none of the members of the Senate were validly elected. Oops. It also means Trump wasn't president between January 20 and March 3, 2016 and all of the actions he took during that period are null and void. Oops again.
