NEW: A federal judge in Texas temporarily blocked the Biden administrations pause on deportations, delivering a blow to one of the presidents first immigration actions.
The court order stems from a lawsuit filed by Texas AG Ken Paxton. Per @priscialva:

This was simply a temporary order based on the technical requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act. It's a 14-day stay, not a permanent decision.

He may very well come to an incorrect conclusion (and given the 5th circuit makeup, it might survive)... but that doesn't mean that this decision is incorrect.
Given the reported challenge, a TRO is pretty standard.
