Yaas, (local radio talkshow wingnut, call him "X" ) has hosted every single wingnut a-hole to come down the pike the SwiftBOT jerk against John KERRY, the a-hole Long Rifle harasser of local cops who went town to town disrupting the peace and he has mentioned one Jonathan TURLEY, a perpetual yakker on cameras spouting whatever wingnut glossing on any topic, authoritatively pontificating about Escapes wingnuts can use.
Theres a pattern. Not talking about TURLEY. Talking about what "X" looks for in trying to find somebody to elevate as an authority. It goes back to when Devin NUNES first popped his pimple head into view. "X" said, something like, He looks CLEAN, doesnt look like a NUT, looks halfway NORMAL, doesnt look like a KOOK. That is to say, not like the typical, run of the mill WINGNUT dirty, nutty, abnormal, KOOK. Sort of like the horned and shirtless traitors at the Capitol.
Thats another thing, "X", not to mention (2nd "X" ), is always commenting uncomfortably, CRINGINGly, about male bodies and such, having mentioned several times the horned ones hairy belly and shirtless, like using the cover of being so SECURE in their own gender identity that he can admit he notices male appurtenances. Although in current usage, if something makes anybody CRINGE, anybody not just the main object, its a form of unwelcome harassment.
So, like the Portuguese Devin NUNES (important to note not exactly "Latino" ) , TURLEY has been mentioned by "X" as looking normal or some such, meaning NOT LIKE A KOOK.
Actually, TURLEY has always looked creepy even when young, but now not wearing well with age.
So in todays news here he is giving comfort and ammunition to wingnuts (thats NEWS?!) about how impeaching the Nameless One this time is UNCONSTITUTIONAL because hes not in office therefore cant be REMOVED (from office) and doing retroactive impeachments could be used as a political weapon! AND TURLEY is having IN-PERSON lunch with Senator TURTLE and the other Repuke senators today to sheep them into the same corral.
That was going to be the article I would quote, but looked what popped up in my Search: What happened to TURLEY?!

Twenty-five years ago, I sat in the front row of his law class. Now, hes someone I hardly recognize.
. a few years later when I saw him on TV as a regular commentator excoriating Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandalwhen he testified before Congress in support of impeachment. .
The Washington Posts Ruth Marcus, at the time, captured the sudden rise to fame of this once obscure environmental law professor pithily, describing him as a liberal Democrat who was articulate, attractive, and available. .
Then, in August 2014, as Republican contemplated impeaching Barack Obama, Turley put his impeachment expert hat on once again. While theres a high bar for what constitutes grounds for impeachment, he wrote in the Washington Post an offense does not have to be indictable. .
Fast forward to the Trump Administrationand Turley makes himself relevant again. He is now a regular on Fox & Friends, Trumps favorite morning show. Sure enough, hes acted often like a cheerleader for the president. .
What makes a man crawl back into the saddle for people like Barr and Trump? .
Some of his law school colleagues, she reported, sniff at his celebrity, saying he has forsaken scholarship for self-aggrandizement. Indeed, according to Marcus, one faculty member quipped at the time: If there were the deanship for self-promotion, hed get it.
But something changed when, 21 years ago, Turley transformed himself as he took the spotlight during the Clinton impeachment hearings. That version of himself seems to have won out. Yesterday, he became the Republican mouthpiece as the lone expert defending Trump from impeachment. Predictably, he was all over cable news Wednesday night, and in all the papers Thursday morning. .
