YouTube confirms to me that Trump’s suspension is being extended again and that Rudy Giuliani will be barred from monetizing his channel for at least 30 days.

More specifically, Giuliani will be able to reapply for the YouTube Partner Program after 30 days, provided that he addresses the issues that led to the initial suspension, YouTube told me.

YouTube declined to say what specifically triggered Giuliani’s suspension but noted that repeatedly violating YouTube’s policies against undermining the 2020 election outcome or alleging election fraud can lead to restrictions.

Note that Giuliani doesn’t appear to be suspended from posting on YouTube, just from monetizing his content and accessing resources under the Partner Program.

With regard to Trump, this is the second extension in as many weeks. His posting and streaming privileges were revoked on Jan. 12, and at the time, YouTube said it would last “at least” a week, and potentially longer.

I have to give Rudy credit for playing every angle for his own financial benefit. How far he has fallen! I wonder if he can even show his face in NYC?

I imagine that since he is being tried for inciting violence, YouTube is continuing his suspension until the Senate votes. Doing it in small increments seems less controlling of free speech.
If convicted, they might decide to ban him permanently. Wonder if their ban could be used as evidence; he was banned for inciting violence.

Hadn't heard about Giuliani being demonetized for 30 days. Happy to hear that. Of course if he breaks their rules, which is likely, he may get suspended too.
