We were NEVER going to get a conviction. We WILL however

Last edited Tue Jan 26, 2021, 10:37 PM - Edit history (2)

ban him from ever seeking office again.

It's worth it for that. The conservative press (and ALL press that is "for profit" is indeed CONSERVATIVE...follow their contributions) will absolutely portray this as "Democrats is disarray"

Don't fall for it.

He will be banned forever, that makes it worth it

UPDATE: I was wrong about this OP. He as to be convicted in order to be banned, and that sucks to high Heaven, but I was wrong, and need to say so.

But plenty of evidence against him will come out.

Those Republicans: what weasels, trying to dodge having to say whether they actually think Trump is guilty.

Make them explain why they think it's OK for a president to encourage sedition and insurrection and the murder of a police officer. Make them carry Trump's stank on them forever.

He’ll do rallies because he gets high on that shit. And his 35% will fall right back into place. Тяцмр‘s narcissism makes him the perfect candidate because THAT’s all he wants to do. He doesn’t want the job. Never did. He just wanted the adulation.

... 74m votes. If the party wasn’t already split in 2020, how would they be split in 2024?

We saw it happen in real time. EVERY establishment republican derided Тяцмр in the 2016 primaries. Every single one of them. Some viciously. Until they started taking the temperature of their rabble. It’s no accident that Sessions was the first member of the GOP old guard to endorse Тяцмр. He was watching his constituents. He saw them turn to Тяцмр, and turned with them for self preservation. Eventually, they all turned. They had to.

There is no logical reason they won’t do it again. Тяцмр has done nothing to lose them as far as I can see. He lost the election, sure. But they believe it was stolen, right? He failed to take down the pedo ring. That just means he’s needed more than ever. He started an insurrection. But they think it didn’t go far enough.

I hope you’re right and I’m wrong. But Тяцмр woke their beast. And until he’s dead, he’s a threat to stoke those same fires. (And I’m not sure even dying ends it - I mean, Elvis is still alive working at a gas station in West Virginia, right?)

I wouldn't classify ALL for-profit press as conservative unless you consider Mother Jones, The Nation and The Daily Beast to be conservative. A great number of them are. When it comes to traditional daily newspapers, what you find is that the lower level reporters and journalists are typically much more liberal than their superiors. The higher up the chain you go, the more conservative they usually become.
