Capitol riot inquiry grows to 400 suspects; feds expect to bring sedition charges 'very soon'

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/01/26/capitol-riots-inquiry-grows-400-suspects-feds-eye-sedition-charges/4265825001/
"The far-reaching investigation into the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol siege continues to grow, as more than 400 suspects have been identified by federal authorities who expect to bring sedition charges against some of those linked to the insurrection.

"We are working on those (sedition) cases," said Michael Sherwin, the chief federal prosecutor overseeing the inquiry, adding that officials expected the investigations to "bear fruit very soon."

The charges, which carry a maximum punishment of 20 years, would be among the most serious for those in the armed attack to disrupt Congress' counting of President Joe Biden's state-certified electoral victory."
"Nearly three weeks after the assault, which left five dead, at least 138 people have been arrested, and Sherwin said the numbers are "growing by the hour."

"These cases are moving at a very rapid clip," the prosecutor said, referring to a flurry of 500 subpoenas and search warrants issued in support of the inquiry. "There is no manpower issue here ... Everyone is all-in on these cases."

The criminal inquiry has been playing out across the country, while the Senate is preparing to host the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, accused of inciting the rioters to storm the Capitol complex. The Senate trial is expected to open Feb. 9."

That's the price of being stupid. Those arrogant thugs deserve a harsh sentence and if they add on all the other charges they have already accumulated they can all rot in prison until they die.

HE'S THE GUY BARR INSTALLED TO UNDERMINE/DESTROY/HAMSTRING THE FLYNN PROSECUTION.

That is more than enough to know this guy is 100% irredeemably unreliable when it comes to integrity, the rule of law, and justice.

Get him out before he lets these criminals walk too. Do not wait until it is too late.

Worse, he could get them to plead to minor shit while as part of their plea deal indemnifying them against the worst charges -- and also ensuring they're never useful in testifying against Trumpland by locking them into testimony which is exculpatory for Trump et al.

He should definitely have nothing to do with this investigation, no matter how badly he wishes to resurrect his reputation.

It's almost as though the Trumpies acted on their own.
A guy arrested here now claims ANTIFA opened the doors for him and he just walked in. Then police escorted him through the building, so he's innocent.

His social media posts say otherwise.

Yet those who went to the rallies, are hiding like rats, but the fools left behind digital GPS Prints. What is a must, is this great nation demonstrate peacefully in those GOP states to bring justice to those tried to Bastille our Democracy! When I say Bastille, I mean what the fools plan to actually do onto our leaders, ending their life and that was exactly every fool at the rally that embarked one foot towards the Capitol wanted to do.
They knew yelling wont accomplish anything, they knew their force of numbers, an army, stoked with so called patriotism of a nazi ideology from a Madman, would what it will take to get Trump to remain in power.

Scary fact of it is, how fragile our base government rest in our nearly 250 years. Fragile that a group had the nerve to do the unthinkable, cross the line...

What we all are not thinking of now, is if those nutz had military style weapons and cut a path to our leaders. What would today world be like if that had happened?
