South Korean Rapper Iron found dead at the age of 29
South Korean rapper Iron, 29, whose real name is Jung Heon-cheol, was found dead at an apartment in Seoul on Monday (25 January), Seoul Jungbu Police said.
Iron was found bleeding and lying on a patch of grass by an apartment security guard around 10.25am. He was later transported to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to Soompi.com, Seoul Jungbu Police Station confirmed in a call, We were called in by a [apartment] guard who told us they discovered Iron. He was urgently taken to the hospital, but he passed away. They added, At this point, it is unclear whether or not Iron died by suicide. We are investigating the exact cause of his death.
Iron rose to fame after becoming a semi-finalist in the third season of music channel Mnets hip-hop audition program Show Me The Money in 2014.
