Republicans react to 2020 defeats by trying to make it harder to vote

The right to vote is sacred. People have died to defend the rights of ALL to vote. What worked so well in 2020 to make this Election cycle the most secure, is now going to be restricted to make voting harder. If Republicans cannot win fairly on the issues, then NO ONE should be allowed to vote, period.

Stacey Abrams is going to be very busy these next 2 years replicating herself in the states that went for Joe Biden and elsewhere voting has become harder. We must act now more than ever.

Republicans are using their lies about massive voter fraud in the 2020 election -- which had zero evidentiary support -- to propose even stricter voting laws for future elections. They must be stopped.

According to the federal government's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and election officials of both parties, the 2020 election was the most secure and well-run election ever. There was record turnout and zero evidence of massive voter fraud. States made it easier to vote while also ensuring that valuable integrity measures were in place.

So, the logical next step would be to continue what worked well and even expand upon those successes. But instead, Republican legislators in numerous states are advancing new laws to cut back on voter access.

They’ve been doing it forever. I wish, if Lincoln has any living relatives, they’d sue the party to make them stop using his name.

And they should stop using the noble pachyderm as a symbol. If anything it should forever be an orange hog to represent the party.

Both voting rights and democracy protection bills were passed in the last congress, so are expected to again.
This time, the senate will take them up.

Now that republicans lost their senate majority, they are more eager to block the vote.

We can promote it as "unity" with repugs to expose all voter fraud. By showing the public that .999999%
of all voter fraud belongs to republicans, maybe, just maybe they'll finally shut up about a nonexistent
problem. Problem is they'll conjure up another issue (big lie) out of thin air.

God forbid they try to male their platform more palatable to decent people.
It's WAY easier just to suppress the vote and appeal to the lunatic fringe.

... those who enact VSM outside of legislation and we need to hurry cause the fatal flaw in the US constitution as we saw last year is the judicial branch doesn't have to give timely judgements on voter suppression measures.

Bottom line kGOP enacts VSM's and state and federal judges don't act on the counters to them in enough time for a fair vote.

Make them pay attention and get prepared to vote. Alert them of new republicans obstacles because they are likely to stay in place.

If we can get a good youth turnout like we did in 2018, we must do it again in 2022!
