We truly need two or three profiles in courage from the Republican Senate.

They would not have to change to the Democratic Party. They could switch to Independent and caucus with the Democrats.

They could temporarily do away with the filibuster and save the Senate from the power lusts of Mitch McConnell and the GOP. It would only take a couple of them to balance out the ignorant and ill-conceived notions of Senators Joe Manchin and Kristin Sinema. Those two seem unable to change positions, no matter how great the threat.

But it would take a little courage because it might mean the end of their political careers?

I can't imagine any of the Senate Republicans having any courage to do the right things.

They're all Trump seditionists, even Romney. Remember, he only voted to convict on one of the Articles of Impeachment in Trump's first impeachment.

The GOP is no longer a functioning political party. It's a cult. It is littered with people who are insane and un-American. It doesn't portend well for our country.
