As we move forward I suspect it will "be an authoritarian party built upon the Big Lie, conspiracy theories and violence". Since the "Hail Mary Coup" sort of end-run play got all that good Press Coverage, why would they change strategies?...

6. The evidence is that they are moving away from traditional conservatism

to become the party of the crazies. It should not be Democrats that are trying to get rid of Magat Traitor Green, but the Republicans.
They have decided that they can not compete in a political world or reason and logic. They do not have the moral courage to risk their precious positions over silly things like love of country, ethics or morals.

I don't think that most people realize how bad and how dangerous the current Republican Party really is. We keep expecting them to recover, and they keep going deeper and deeper down a dark hole. Their path leads to only one outcome, and that is destruction. The problem is that only they can fix their situation, and they seem to have no desire to do so.
