It will ask you, did you mean: groundhog day 2021?
And every time you click it, it asks again.
Google duped me.

(111,338 posts)Use Firefox and set it to delete cookies, cache and history when you close it. Use the Ghostery extension to eliminate most beacons and other trackers. It won't make things completely anonymous, but you won't be deluged with hate sites if you have searched to confirm the spelling of some wingnut's name.
I generally use DuckDuckGo or Start Page as my search engines. The problem with Google algorithms is the same problem on Facebook, data compression. They both try to anticipate what you want instead of what you might actually be looking for. It has really made the net suck unless you know how to avoid it.

(9,653 posts)Brave and DuckDuckGo on my phone. Adblock everywhere. I have everything set to delete when I close a browser. But I don't have Ghostery set up, so thank you for the info. I will do that tomorrow!
Once in awhile I forget, and I go straight to Google to look up something. Then the next thing I know I'm getting ads for something I specifically looked at the day before. That is so creepy.

(111,338 posts)What I had a problem with was being deluged with right wing swill when I'd only done a search to find out how to spell something.
Talk about discovering the essential flaw with their algorithm! Now they've screwed up YouTube. Suggested for you: HAHAHAno.
