Republicans dont want any of the credit? Fuck em then.

Thats how i see it.

The recovery bill two years from now is going to be shown to have saved this country. vaccines money for the people schools getting back open.

THIS is what Biden means by unity. Come along gop. get on board. is there something in this bill you want that's not in it? lets talk, maybe we put it in and you get massive credit for it from your peoples.

Biden is willing to include the gop into this bill and add stuff they think it needs which is NOT TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH!!!!!

Mitch would be telling the dems, fuck you. This is OUR bill. we are passing it, you dont get anything, we get all the credit.

the BEST thing the gop could do right now is vote for this bill cuz in two years they will be able to run on the results.

so will the democrats but at least then, it will be a draw, both sides get to take credit.

right now? the dems are getting 100% of the credit, the gop 0% and thats how they seem to want it and i say fine.

In the next few weeks the gop is going to go on historical record to vote AGAINST helping the country out of this crisis and FOR helping Trump out of his.

I mean jesus h christ on a cracker, can you get more stupid than that?

bring it on!

the entire purpose of both Houses of Congress. Laws are essentially passed by fiat with the imitation of legislating when Republicans have the majority and they expect to rule the same way when in the minority with their equivocating about the 50-50 split.

Newt Gingrich started the schism and it's been perpetuated and expanded over the decades. Democrats are the "enemy" and no negotiations and compromise with them. Not even socializing after hours.

Even going back to Reagan's era, some Democrats voted (albeit reluctantly) for the massive tax cuts but it was in the spirit of compromise with the Republicans. Now, when Republicans are in the majority, they craft legislation so severe, not open to change and/or compromise that it's Hobson's Choice for Democrats: 1) Take it or leave it; and 2) We (Republicans) don't need your votes to pass it.
