We can't count on retaining the Senate in 2022. I hope Breyer isn't as stubborn as some older justices have been.

Also Barrett's hearing started on Oct 12 and she was confirmed on Oct 26. The precedent has been set.

(17,399 posts)Our majority in the Senate hinges on a single seat, the untimely passing of just one Democratic senator could potentially put the keys to the Senate back in McConnells hands.
The risk is just too great, we cant afford to lose Breyers seat.
