Lauren Boebert may be overstaying her welcome with Colorado voters: GOP strategist

On Saturday, the Associated Press quoted a Republican strategist and former lawmaker from Western Colorado who suspects Rep. Lauren Boebert may soon wear out her welcome with voters in the area — even the sort of white, rural voters who have swung sharply to the right in the Trump era.

"There are very real limits to that shtick in rural Colorado, which is why she only won with 51 percent," said the strategist, Josh Penry. "When the sizzle wears off, there are big blocs of voters who will be totally up for grabs and will want to know that their congresswoman is trying to be part of the solution in between cable news show hits."

Prior to her election, Boebert was a businesswoman famous for running a restaurant where the servers open carry. She has drawn outrage for speaking positively of the QAnon movement (though she denies ever having been a part of it), trying to overturn the results of the election, live-tweeting the location of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) during the invasion of the Capitol, and being caught up in an ethics scandal over how much money she has taken from her campaign for travel.

Just like in Maryland my current residence, formally from Colorado, they are thinking of redrawing the district of one Andy Harris..................

A liberal had the temerity to speak his mind on FB, and they're not standing for it here in Cortez. Hypocrites, the lot of 'em.

It only has provisions for state officials.

https://ballotpedia.org/Article_XXI,_Colorado_Constitution#Section_1

In fact, the prevailing opinion is that states or districts don't have the authority, though it's never been ruled on by the SC.

She apparently used the illicitly obtained travel reimbursement to pay bills in arears. Be a shame if something happened to it...

It has a long history of throwing out Representatives as soon as they establish any power in DC. The Republican she replaced, Scott Tipton, had gained such recognition and was starting to bring home the bacon, so to speak. While I opposed his conservative stand, I had to give it to him for numerous projects he make happen in this remote corner of the country, including the establishment of protected areas.
The game in the house is to establish seniority. Once you get a Rep in place it little matters which side of the plate he bats on.
The people of this district are woefully ignorant and have always thrown the baby out with the bath water. They live in a perpetual state of mental poverty and do not know real success requires a change of mind.
And, yes, they will throw out little Annie Oakley. It is the nature of the voters out here.

By her soociopathic spouse, and whom the media lied about, and one is a sociopathic abuser who is a RWNJ Congresswoman.

Yes, so easy to confuse the two.

And calling Lorena Bobbitt insane is really appalling for someone on this board.

Watch Jordan Peele's four-part series, Lorena, on Amazon for what actually happened.

"ethics scandal over how much money she has taken from her campaign for travel"

Wtf? She was caught red-handed taking money from her campaign to pay her business debts.

Claimed $20k for "milage" .. which at the allowed rate would have meant driving 39,000 miles.

This idiot and her campaign treasurer both need to be in jail for this.
