Republicans censured Elizabeth Warren for reading a letter from MLK's wife --

"Nevertheless, she persisted," became a rallying cry when Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) took to the Senate floor four years ago today to read a letter from Coretta Scott King. Republicans voted to censure her, including so-called moderates like Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Susan Collins (R-ME), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Rob Portman (R-OH), and Todd Young (R-IN).

Four years later, Lawyer Max Kennerly noted, two senators led an effort to overthrow the 2020 election and discount the votes of over 20 million Americans. When it became clear that their efforts wouldn't be successful, the senators cheered on a crowd of armed and violent insurrectionists who attacked the U.S. Capitol.

While the Senate has moved forward with the impeachment of former President Donald Trump, there has been no accountability for Hawley and Cruz. It's unclear if those "moderate" members will be willing to support the censure of the two leaders of the election overthrow.

Repuke nomination. The real fun begins when we see which "anti-Trump Republicans" sign up to endorse him.
