(37,748 posts)"Legal experts said Trumps phone calls may have violated at least three state criminal election laws: conspiracy to commit election fraud, criminal solicitation to commit election fraud, and intentional interference with performance of election duties. The felony and misdemeanor violations are punishable by fines or imprisonment."

(31,261 posts)for Governor. Raffensperger won a runoff against a good Democrat in 2018 to become SOS. He is a repugh, with all the drawbacks, but he has tried to do some right things, which is abnormal for that crowd.

(31,261 posts)NYS is after him, not Georgia May be after him. Someone is going to get him. I believe that a person like Raffensperger is the perfect one to go after Trump, his upward trajectory in politics is limited, but by getting Trump on some felonies that ends Trumps political career, Raffensperger wont ever have to buy himself a drink when sitting among republicans (many of whom dont care for Trump, but are scared shitless of him).

(10,497 posts)He planned the coup from way back. He fired up his base to do what they did on the 6th of January knowing, and counting on the rabid idiots to kill some politicians so he could declare Marshall law and stay in office. People died but not the ones he needed to.
This is pretty transparent but he will not be charged with murder. Too political. Powerful people get away with murder and everything else in this country and I see nothing to indicate this time will be different.

(31,261 posts)Senate President Schumer, AOC or another member of the squad, Adam Schiff, Pence or McConnell. I dont care for Pence or McConnell, but I also dont want to see them physically harmed. Trump would have used physical harm to a member of Congress or Pence, unfortunately as you pointed out, as a pretext to seize and hold power.
When Trump said in 2016 that he would not recognize a Hillary victory, many thought he was joking, we have seen that he was not, he would not have hesitated one second over throwing the country into utter chaos.

(14,181 posts).... trDump thinks he is a Mafioso Thug.
Look at the audacity of this man to overthrow and trash Democracy. This gives anyone with a brain clear insight to what length trDump will go to have an election tossed in his favor. Criminal acts are no consequence to this thug,... he should be slammed for this criminality. Then trDump actively attempted to force others to act on his behalf - to enter a conspiracy of criminality. While trDump wipes dirty shoes on the Constitution and American flag. ( It is a damn good thing this guy recorded that phone call. It is unfortunate Lindsey Grahams' call was not also recorded. )
TrDump must be made to pay for these criminal transgressions against fragile Democracy or he will come back and do the same thing.

(14,181 posts)... Putin or trDump must have some real nasty shit on Lindsey.
Lindsey knew damn well - he entered into a criminal conspiracy with trDump when he made that call to the Georgia Secretary of State asking to fudge the number of votes to make trDumpie the winner in Georgia.

At least it was one step forward as opposed to two backwards. We take what we can when we can and then fight like hell to change the rest. We have good people in charge right now...it can be done.

(1,528 posts)Till then, this shit is the current winner for Teflon Don.
After Fitzmas and Muller letdowns and the GQP giving this bastard a pass in I am guessing two impeachment trials, he gets away with everything.
Pulls these rope-a-dope lawsuits and will be dead before anything comes up in a actual trial. He always has.
I believe he has committed dozens of felonies, and new ones constantly revealed.
He unfortunately really does seem to be above the law.

(2,970 posts)Did the GA SoSs office receive any complaints from Trump's surrogates about fraud in the election? Did Trump's advocates bring any evidence credible enough to trigger an investigation?
I don't know the answer, but my hunch is no. Or, if they did, it was frivolous, speculative BS that was promptly adjudicated as not actionable.
