The 20th Amendment, ratified in 1933, changed subsequent inaugurations to January 20.
The Qrazy Qrackers are embracing (big surprise) the RW notion that the "real constitution" is just the original document and the first 10 amendments.

The significance of March 4th predates the Constitution. The Confederation Congress, which operated under the Articles of Confederation (our first Constitution) picked March 4, 1789, as the day it handed off power to the new constitutional government.
March 4th was the Constitutions first official day in business. The first modern Congress convened in New York City at Federal Hall. It was about one month before George Washington was elected as the first President under the new Constitution.

The January 20th date was set by the 20th amendment, it's one of the ones that "doesn't count."

(19,118 posts)This is a group of people that is so sick that they get so excited that they lose sleep. The reason for their excitement? They want to see public executions of our Democratically elected leaders. They want to see a strong man overthrow our Democracy. Their hatred of their fellow Americans is so strong that they long for seeing the leaders that were elected by the majority of the country torn to pieces in the Capitol by a raging mob.
There are ISIS level evil, the bloodlust is every bit as big a part of their ideology as it is for ISIS. They want to see the streets run red with blood and more than that they want to see their fellow Americans suffer as their leaders are killed. They know if successful, that their killing of Dem leaders would rip the country apart and cause millions of people despair, and they love the thought of that.
