She was in NYC and was familiar with him pre-race in 2016. Hired by the Times. She briefed the staff on what to expect from Trump and was dead right. She has really been his mouthpiece though.

Yes, she has opportunistically used her past connections with the Trumps to her journalistic
advantage. But why she gets so much respect and admiration is beyond me as she
is mainly serving as their mouthpiece while masquerading as a journalist at the vaunted
