So I guess the US attorney for DC will be charging trump for sedition.

According to his own legal team, That’s what should happen.

The time when it's "just right" to charge a president for criminal activities. While he's in office, you can only impeach, and that's contingent on the Senate not being wholly co-opted and corrupted by the president. Once he's out of office, well, the American people have spoken and turned him out, so hasn't he suffered enough?
