Murkowski: I don't know how Trump could be elected again

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said on Wednesday that she couldn't imagine that President Trump would be elected again after voters see the details and new footage of the Capitol attack.

"I don't see how after the American public sees the full story laid out here ... I don't see how Donald Trump could be re-elected to the presidency again," Murkowski told reporters.

Murkowski's comments come as House impeachment managers are hours into their opening presentations.

On Wednesday, impeachment managers showed never-before-seen security footage of lawmakers evacuating the Capitol, rioters breaking into the building and close calls for Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Not buying it Lisa. Go home to your igloo in the frozen north and may your useless brain freeze.

It was also because the GOP was incompetent. Too many candidates in for too long. Had they rallied behind one (like we did this cycle), no Trump. They won't make that mistake again.

His ratings are tanking, even among Republicans, and this is only the beginning.

His career is over.

He got 400k+ people killed and nearly got reelected via the EC. Had a few close states swung a point or two the other way, it's a whole different world.

January 6th closed the door, though I do also think his involvement in the horrific response to Covid will become clearer over time and further nail it shut.

Scamming the chumps out of $millions. It’s the only way he can make a living anymore. The election is not the point, the campaign is. He can keep these destructive grievances going right up until he takes his last breath. The Republican senators know this. They are fools

Mary Trump said a while ago that he would never run again because his toxic fragile little ego wouldn't be able to handle losing.

At this point, it's all about keeping himself in the news and scamming $$$ out of his rube followers.

This is totally the point. It’s all he has left to leverage. The greatest con ever, give to his stop the Democrats/steal/count whatever bullshit campaign buzz-phrase his stupid followers will support.

He isn’t going away unless he, gods willing, drops dead and these people aren’t going away. The Republican state houses will do everything they can to disenfranchise voters and get him back in there. And people are stupid enough to vote for him in droves.

He needs to be forbidden from ever running again.
