you see, under a strict construction of the constitution, it is constitutional for the president to try to murder congress, but unconstitutional for congress to do anything about it

He can’t go against the constitution, or he can’t go against what he believes is in the constitution? These guys got to try and operate in the real world for a change.

3. The founders totally intended the following scenario:

- tyrant impeached just as term expires.
- senate can't try because he's out of office
- tyrant runs 4-year comeback campaign
- tyrant squeaks out another electoral vote win despite losing popular vote
- tyrant takes office as potus a second time
- tyrant is finally tried and convicted
- whoever tyrant selected as running mate becomes president.


So, justice is done, and we get president ivanka.
