It doesn't cost a lot to register a domain with the .democrat gTLD. The price of the SLD (second level domain name) depends on many factors, primarily, whether or not the name is already registered.

That's long, and the .gop is short.
I can't find any sites that use .democrat.
Most Democratic Party sites use .org, even the DNC.
