with and those lashes make her look as though she struggles to open her eyes.

Natural is better, folks. And with makeup, less is more.

have to offer in their reporting. It reminds me of crazy Faux news and how they overdo the makeup and short tight skirts on the women.

I get the impression that it isn't their idea to wear more makeup. I noticed it the other day with Katy Tur and it didn't look good on her at all. I hate the idea that intelligent, competent women could be pressured to enhance their looks for the camera, as if that is why we are watching them. I hate when I see it on CNN's female hosts, where sometimes they look like they are trying to compete with Fox. A person's appearance should not be a distraction from what they are saying.

I had been following her on radio and I knew what she looked like, and when I saw her on her new show I immediately noticed two things:

1. She looked cute, and...

2. She looked wrong.

I could almost see it in her eyes that she wasn't at all happy with the way her hair was done up. As I remember, it didn't take long at all before she went back to what is essentially the way she looks today.

Some people think they have to tell others that they don't care when the way to show you actually don't care is to not post on a thread.

I got that. It is part of the way journalism has gone. My favorite female journalist is Amanpour who is there because of her ability. Brianna Keilar is running a close second but it's because of the terrific job she has done holding repubs feet to the fire through facts and calm assessments.

If that's what you're seeing, it's likely a corporate decision to make female anchors look more like the ones on FOX. Their goal being increased ratings and revenue

Merely an observation about something I had noticed as well. As a woman, it bothers me when expectations for female journalists are dramatically different than they are for men. Meanwhile, I think the women should dress the way they are the most comfortable, as long as it is professional looking and not a distraction from what they are saying.

and makeup artists. Rachel even commented on the fact that she had to do her own makeup while Zooming from home after the storm.

Maybe they just reverted to the norm after streets, tracks, runways were open again.

It's usually much softer than what it was yesterday. I mentioned it to my husband.
I usually don't comment on stuff like that, but it was glaring to me. I think she was more made up too.

I think it's distracting - a little foundation, a little blush some mascara and lipstick is plenty of makeup.

Nicole Wallace commented on the adjustments of working from home. She said she was spoiled when she worked from the studio, because there was always someone to style your hair. Meanwhile, she is homeschooling her child and doing a two hour show everyday. I don't think she has a whole lot of time to spend on her hair.

I think she really is stretched for time more now than before, being most of them are on TV more than just their usual time slots. I can picture her frantically throwing herself together just to get in front of a camera on time. It is so much easier being a guy.
