I won't/can't watch Chuck and Andria. I sure wish MSNBC gets the message that whenever they have those two on - that people immediately turn off on MSNBC.

(1,262 posts)There are several good shows and anchors on MSNBC, but, at the end of the day, IMO, CNNs anchors and shows are superior to those of MSNBC.

(12,165 posts)I dont know why people are still complaining about Chuck Todd and not just changing the channel.
It seems like theres a daily thread about Todd.
People: just. stop. watching. him.

(65,061 posts)My wife & I both see CNN as our go to.
She watches it more than I (and I'm not a "seldom" viewer), because I read a lot of news here.
It's been a few years.
Their afternoons are excellent, IMO.

(28,264 posts)I hope this no-watch movement catches on---I'm certainly doing my part. Lousy show ratings may finally force MSNBC to get rid of both of them...like they should have, years ago.

(8,916 posts)I'm getting tired of the dockers look.
He looks like he wears the exact same clothes for every appearance.
I can put up with him for short periods as long as he's providing good numbers.
But if he had a 30 minute show, even 10 minute, I couldn't put up with him.

(8,916 posts)and wearing the same clothes for every appearance does not look professional.
It's like the old IBM days, where everyone had 3 dark blue suits with 3 white shirts.
1 - Wearing (Today)
1 - In the closet (Tomorrow)
1 - At the cleaners (Day after tomorrow)
None of the other hosts or anchors, on every other channel, wear the same clothes for every appearance.
Every time they introduce Steve Kornacki, I cringe to see his outfit, and of course it's the same.
So YES! It bothers me.

(9,998 posts)Now when I go to work, and leave the TV on for my doggie, it will be on CNN the rest of day.
I bet there are still those who like these Morons, but obviously they don't have many, if any, fans here on DU.
sfstaxprep
(9,998 posts)By putting them both together, we don't have to switch back and forth between the intelligent hosts like Nicole Wallace & Ali Velshi, and Morons like Toad & Mrs. Greenspan, hosting their own individual shows.

You rarely get just the facts or news. It's all about the ratings, so it's just full of opinions that create controversy. And the fact that some things are totally taboo or you're fired if you speak about it is fishy from the git go to me. So, I don't watch. Even Sirius progressive radio is under this rule. Although I do listen to that, because we're presented with facts. And I loved Air America when Rachel, Randi, Al, Thom, Lionel, Stephanie, Ed, Marc, Jim, Sam and the rest of the great progressive personalities were on. I could go on...but won't. MSNBC still better than Faux Noise by a long shot.

(7,263 posts)The evening hosts are from good to awesome.
Even though Nicolle is a bit conservative overall for my tastes, she is competent and fair as far as her reporting goes. She makes me think. As do all the nighttime hosts.
OTH, Toad and 'What's her name' make me puke. Blitzer does too, but he has become a bitter caricature of his old peacock self.

(6,448 posts)I wanted to watch some normal people for a change, so I switched to the Munsters at 6 pm.
Instead, COZI had Chuck Todd. What a disappointment!
I muted it until Herman and Lily showed up at 6:41. I'm persistent that way.

(18,636 posts)You could amend that to "people in DU immediately turn off MSNBC".
They don't always report from a lefty spin, but they're far from conservative media. I fear living in a liberal bubble full of good news and candy canes for Democrats.
Fox News I can't stand, I'm afraid a remote will end up through the screen. Do an hour of that, and you'll switch to Andrea and Chuck in a second.
