https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/feb/10/donald-trump-mar-a-lago-floridaThough presumably the most contentious among residents and of the most interest nationally and internationally, the issue took up no more than a half-hour of the councils time at the meetings end.
The five-member council took no action on the question, which was placed on the agenda because of neighbors complaints that Trumps presence would hurt property values.
Its unclear if the council will address the issue further, although an attorney representing the residents asked with no response that he be allowed to give a fuller presentation in April. The neighbors could also sue the town and Mar-a-Lago.
The town attorney, Skip Randolph, said there was nothing in the clubs 1993 agreement with Palm Beach that prohibits Trump from residing there.

So, still hope he loses it to bankruptcy...or sumthin'.

Would have been fun to see him get the boot.
But I'd rather see him go to prison.

(15,805 posts)The community got rid of Trump's helipad, there will be far fewer security incursions into the area and traffic will be less. As a bonus the city will benefit enormously from the tax revenues generated by the resort and the increased tourism.
It's always about the money and Trump is a cash cow.
