Every few days, I venture over to the Wikipedia article about the US President just so I can see that it has Joe Biden as the incumbent. It's not because I still can't believe Biden won or that Trump is gone. It's just nice to be able to see little things like that and know that I don't have to be ashamed of who is running the country. I know there are years if not decades of challenges ahead thanks to Trump and most of the GOP. But the little reminders thaf we might finally be on the right path again is cathartic and heartwarming.

(675 posts)....seeing headlines like "Justice Department says ________" or "Press Secretary Answers Questions about _______" and think to myself "who gives a shit what those lying assholes have to say?". Then I remember who is running the show now.

It's soooo nice to do a doubletake and realize it's not the orange maniac anymore.

(47,500 posts)"The President said or the President did......." and not cringing at the mental image of Donald Trump. "Oh no, not Trump. They're talking about Joe!" I'll get used to it eventually and accept that this is the norm, but right now I am enjoying that little moment of realization that we have a decent, competent man in the White House. I am determined not to take it for granted.

(47,500 posts)whenever someone on TV would say, "The President......." and for a second I pictured Barack Obama. Then came the grim reality that they meant Donald Trump. It was like a punch in the gut every time. Now I get to experience it in reverse.
