On Third Day of Impeachment Trial, Democrats to Finish Presenting Case
WASHINGTON—House impeachment managers on Thursday will continue setting out their case against former President Donald Trump for allegedly inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, an effort aimed at persuading enough Republican senators to convict him.
On the third day of the impeachment trial, House Democrats have another eight hours to present evidence. Once the managers finish, Mr. Trump’s legal team will have 16 hours to present his defense.
Aides previewed the day’s argument, saying that impeachment managers would provide new evidence about Mr. Trump’s role and his impact on the attack. The managers also plan to discuss what they described as Mr. Trump’s lack of remorse.
“We remain convinced that the evidence has the power to change minds,” one aide said.
