They have been drunk on power for some time. Entitlement has risen to the top level. Their hubris is bringing them down yet they cannot recognize it until it actually happens.

If a situation involves taking sides, they should take the side defending our country. Repubs make it clear that their side is always the party over anything and everything else, every time.

as a group and face criminal charges for their corruption and gross incompetence, in passing the tax cut and jobs bill of 2017, where the federal deficit exploded due to this poorly written bill that basically gave away 83% of the benefits to those that didn't need any additional incentives (and jacked up the federal deficit to outlandish amounts, all by republicans). Economists were dismayed and mentioned at the time that such outlandish tax cuts weren't needed at the time (republican excuse that the economy needed 'stimulating'). They later admitted that the tax cuts were for their republican donors. A reckless and dangerous bill.
