The rules for senate trial juries should be the same as for civil/criminal juries, IMHO.

If you are blabbering about how your decision has already been made, you should be removed from the jury!! And I am specifically referring to Lindsey Graham's vocal disdain for the House Manager's case.

Of course there needs to be a trial, but as with everything connected to trump*, this is one is turning into a big, stinking, unethical pile of sludge.

We are going to have to hope that SDNY, for starters, can convict this malicious, mendacious, misanthropic miscreant.

That would slow down the process to the point that in an emergency they wouldn't be able to act.

vote to convict." They gave every republiQan permission to make his or her mind up before hearing any testimony. They said this was a done deal and there was nothing wrong with doing that.

The media should have said from the beginning something like this: "While Democrats and republiQans are divided with respect to legislation, this is not legislation. This is a trial. They are jurors. They have a moral responsibility to listen to the testimony with an open mind and make up their minds only after they have heard all of it."

Another way we can tell we don't have a liberal press.
