I don't know where we would be without her wisdom and her don't F with me attitude. She does what she does, without fanfare. She makes it about us and not herself.

Two of the recent best from her...the day she clapped at him condescendingly and commences to shred his speech behind his back with one snarky smirk on her face, the other walking out of the WH and dons her sunglasses. Both were brilliant.

You are 100% correct. You need to know how to connect with all your people. You don't incite your staff, you bring them together. Nancy has done this for years.

Age isn't important, experience and ability to deal with everyone in the caucus.

It was the voice and tone of the abuser who can’t wait to torture someone. Ugh! I have no doubt that those sadistic Trumpists would have murdered her if they had found her. Thank God security got her out of there. After watching all the video, I cannot imagine the terror of all those stuck in the Capitol wondering when the terrorists would find them. I truly despise Trump and his nasty minions. May they all rot in hell.

The orange monster demonized anyone who got in his way — especially women. I hope Mme Speaker was well-protected that day. And I fully understand why Congresswoman AOC fled in a panic. Both their names had been used by him ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

were Pelosi, Pence and AOC, probably in that order.

The other members of the Squad were also high on the list, but I'd put Ilhan Omar at #4 if only because even the most ignorant domestic terrorist could recognize her by her headscarf.

The cowardly senate "jurors" who are ignoring the impeachment evidence as flamboyantly as they ignore their oath to protect the Constitution are all apparently comfortable in knowing that they were not as personally targeted.

We have such tremendous women in positions of power at this point in our history and I am delighting in it. I have a five-year old granddaughter and I am so glad that she gets to see women like Ms. Pelosi and many, many more that she can look to for role models. Just this past week my daughter sent me a video of her daughter in kindergarten with a cape on her shoulders saying, "I'm a super hero" in the video. I wrote her back and said, "Yes, you are." No more hearing the nonsense I did growing up in the 50's and 60's like "girls can't become chemists", "you don't need to go to college because you'll only get married and have children", and my personal favorite "boys don't like girls who are smarter than them".

I had a younger sister who was so competitive, that in gym class, she would play so
hard that she made the boys cry.

But my dad would never allow her to sign up for any sports, like soccer, swimming, basketball, softball or volleyball.
He just didn't think that girls should be competing.
I told him that she could be good enough to get a scholarship. It didn't matter.

My father was a real piece of work. I received no support from him whatsoever. He'd barely bat an eye at my report card every grading period and never said a thing about getting straight A's every time. He's the one who said girls didn't need to go to college because they'd only get married and have kids. I went to college after I was married and had kids and after he was long gone, and I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. He was one who was just happy when each of us graduated high school because as soon as we did we were told we had to get a job and pay him room and board. Most of us left as soon as we could get out.

I was always very competitive and I guess that wasn't very "ladylike" to him. He was a quite the misogynist.

I got a job out of town.

My mom was upset, because she feels my dad drove her children out of town.

in the 60 Minutes interview after she was hunted and traumatized as a victim of a violent crime. I thought she was insensitive and looked past the human tragedy that deserved to be foremost in any interviewer's mind. Stahl cheapened herself by making it about politics and then treating a victim with callous disregard for the trauma of such an event. Disgraceful.

She should have apologized.

But January 6th was certainly one of the worst days for Madame Speaker with dozens screeching her name in sing-song voices, hoping to catch her and do . . . whatever.

Chilling. Like some awful horror movie.

She has served the country well and tirelessly. She didn't deserve being taunted and hunted by a bunch of Donald Trump's crazies.

Never forget!

And yes, once the danger passed, she got right to it. Pretty good role model from where I sit.

As her daughter said (paraphrasing), "she can cut your head off and you won't even know you were bleeding".

As for January 6, after it was all over she called the House back into session and they did their job. And she did it without a 50-minute Instagram video weeks later.
