texas secession.... not

remmeber all the idiots calling for texas to secede. talking about how texas could easily survive as its own country... one of the things they talk about is texas having its own independent power grid...

because texas has its own grid they cant get power from other places in an emergency.
it going to be in the single digits in texas tonight. and they may have to start rolling blackouts because the stress on the grid is to much.

An amount that would have put many states over the mark for his candidacy.

4. There's also the maintenance on that massive network of roads in TX....

and I'm guessing a lot of federal excise tax dollars on gasoline sales go towards that need.

While working some jobs there, I asked some Texans how they were able to build such a complex network of interstate highways and they all attributed them to past oil booms. But, then comes the maintenance.

If they seceded, they could say goodbye to NASA and several military bases.

Texas should tax their people based on the size of the bumpers on their pickup trucks....

In polls, secession is rarely any higher than 20% here in Texas. There are few indications that that will change anytime soon.

Just because stupid Kyle Beidermann filed a bill.

And everyone knows the bill won't even get a committee hearing. It's just a vanity move on his part for 15 minutes of fame....

And I live in South Texas, where our homes are not built for cold.

Yes, our homes are not built for cold, but most homes will stay well above freezing....

Cold is short lived, so homes are not build for extended cold and to keep warm, my furnace is cranking

Likewise, homes up north are not built for Texas type summers.

My house is not built for cold, but I did get new insulation in 2019 due to a rodent problem, so tonight I'm glad for that.

In 2011, we had rolling blackouts...today we're drawing power from Mexico and we're not having rolling blackouts.

Texas is not going to secede. It's just one dingleberry's stupid idea. The bill won't go anywhere....It's like having vanity plates that say, "Secede"
