So, Bill doesn't want to accept blame for his cluster fuck of grid management.
I want their heads to roll for the lack of rolling blackouts.
I was without power for over 24hrs. It was not fun!

(11,868 posts)But I live in NYS and expect this to happen. We have a wood stove and a generator and... well ...coats and quilts.
My heart goes out to these poor people. How will they cope without winter clothing or water...to drink or even flush? All of that takes a special kind of preparation that can only happen when you have had experience with harsh winters.
How can we help? Is there anything being organized? Maybe someone can post if they know.

(15,943 posts)It is rediculous that most Texans have never heard of ERCOT.
Looking over the saleries of the board members they are grifters and don't know anything about power structures, grids or anything really. They are obviously in it for the scratch. And especially with the CEO not taking any blame or responsibility. Whenever a CEO does that you know they are GUILTY AF!

No proper rotation of brownouts on the grid.
Most of the last two days my house has been 30m on and 30m off.
Last night was -4 and the house did drop to 50F at some point
We fortunately had a little wood.
Net and cell service has been sporadic at best.
Grocery shelves were being stripped by this afternoon
Other than that, we are ok... Just surviving
