Relying on Minnesota's Random Selection for Vaccines Worked for Me

Since I'm 75 years old, I qualified to get on the random list for a vaccination, and signed up as soon as it was available.

Today, I got the email, went to the link, and signed up for both shots. I'll get the Moderna vaccine on Friday, the 19th, and the second on March 19.

I have to drive to the Convention Center in Minneapolis, but that's fine with me. All forms got filled out online.

I had also attempted to sign up for other vaccine opportunities, but without any success. I wasted a good deal of time looking around and trying to book. It turned out that the state's random selection list worked best of all.

I see my Internist this coming Monday. I am going to ask her to get me on a list. After talking with someone at the MN Dept. of Nealth, that is what he suggested after he brought up my pre-registration. I will be 69 in May.
