(11,738 posts)Anyone who understands the feeling you get when you receive love, from parents, a partner, your children, etc... It isn't something that can be completely explained, but you can tell by viewing it.
It isn't the infatuation of young people "in love" where they can't be apart and they are always kissing and hugging and carrying on. It isn't the passion of a newly wed couple. It is just a visible joy, comfort, and relief. It is a feeling that, "I am safe, I am home, I can be me".
You see that with the Biden's, the Obama's, and people like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. It isn't flashy or for show, it is just there. I feel that with my wife. People ask us, don't you get tired? Don't you feel like you need space? Well, no, I don't get tired of being around my wife. If I had my choice of who to be with, it would be my wife and children, always. I do get space, but apart from when we take our space, we'd prefer to be with each other.
It is something that Carlson probably never experienced either with his parents, or with a partner, so he doesn't understand it when he sees it.
