On Rush Limbaugh passing. Most won't agree with this?

I don’t wish cancer on anyone. Many of friends and family members have gone thru horrible diseases and deaths. I am sure we all have? They went a lot pain and suffering. I only hope that if we had to get thru anything like this? We won’t have anyone tearing us up after we are gone. I never like the man, his views nor his pathetic rhetoric or will I miss him! But his death is not a joking matter. So, move on! There are more rotten people to make fun of!

A couple of years ago my then-husband told me that his good friend Tex had died. My response: "Good. One less racist asshole." My hatred for Tex began moments after I met him. Shortly after the introduction, he started in on racist comments and spewing hatred. I told my then-husband I never wanted him in my house again. So, yeah, I was happy to hear he had croaked.

I very rarely find myself in disagreement with your posts, but this time I gently and respectfully take issue.

His rhetoric irrevocably altered the neuronal structure of tens of millions of American minds, transforming them from free thinkers into lobotomized propagandists.

He attacked good and decent people, some of whom had nothing to do with politics whatsoever, and cultivated actual widespread hatred for them. He practically celebrated the suicide of Kurt Cobain.

There is also strong circumstantial evidence he traveled to the Dominican Republic on sex tours to take advantage of minors. So today I think about those kids too and wonder what has become of them.

And things that may now come to light now that he's dead.

I will say his lonely legacy is pathetic & tainted. His bloated soul was consumed with hate, racism, misogyny, self righteous delusions plus he was a liar & a bully.

Yet, at the beginning of his life, he was somebody's sweet innocent baby. Hard to imagine, isn't it? What a filthy waste.

Feb 2021

I, however, am not in that select group. My human frailties are overwhelming and my reservoir of empathy too shallow to extend to some people...

I have had cancer once, and lost my mother to it and COVID-19 just 90+ days ago. I saw its wrath, and have felt the cold clammy hand of fate on my own shoulders...but I rejoice that it stalked, wounded, hunted and killed that piece of shit Limbaugh. I only wish listening to him was an actual carcinogen instead of simply a mental carcinogen.

He got way more life than he deserved; and received so much more material wealth and comfort - for being a divisive piece of shit - than ANYONE should receive...so much so that, on balance, no amount of suffering or ill-fate would balance the scales.

I try to remind myself on days like this that my over-riding goal in life is to live well enough that no one is happy when I am no more...perhaps not the loftiest of goals, but if I succeed in that regard, I will have led a more worthy life than the dead dick of the airwaves managed, and that is enough.

The death and destruction he brought to his own listeners is immense and will take decades to deprogram them from his misery.

He spewed hate and knew better. His legacy is sadness, he could have used his voice for good but he used for hate and greed and selfishness.

RIP

I don't wish misery on anyone, but the man flaunted huge cigars and died of cancer related to that. I have to wonder if Karma came calling on that...

I lost someone very close to me this past summer--my mom.

On a number of occasions my mom stood up for the people she loved, and stood up to people who treated her loved ones unfairly. When she did that, she made some enemies. Those enemies would be the type of people who would dance on her grave.

I won't behave that way.

My mom wouldn't want me to.
