Reemerging Trump mulls role in bid to recall Gavin Newsom

Former President Donald Trump is considering whether to add his voice to the bid to recall Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and could hold rallies in the state if a runoff election is triggered later this year.

Trump is eyeing the race from his post-presidency perch in South Florida. The former president has remained largely out of sight since leaving the White House on Inauguration Day last month, breaking his relative silence only a few times — including his scathing Tuesday statement about Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell that has set off a GOP civil war.

Trumpworld is not ruling out the former president stepping into the recall effort. Jason Miller, a top adviser to the former president, told the Washington Examiner that Trump is not currently tracking activity in the race — but that could change.

Trump might even bring his raucous political rallies back for the first time since leaving office, igniting what multiple polls show are his still-staunch supporters ahead of the 2022 midterm elections in a move demonstrating the considerable political power he still wields as the GOP tries charting a path forward.

Oh please stick your ugly face in this. It'll pretty well assure Newsom survives the recall.

His disgusting fans are the ones this crap and it's purely a partisan power grab. Has nothing to do with COVID but the assholes will spin it that way.

I was in CA the last time they were able to get a recall rolling and we ended up with Arnold fucking Schwarzenegger.

I remember chuckling right up until the day the Governator won.

This is a Brass Ring for the Retrumplicans.

1. It pushes the MEME that Dems are weak and don't fight.

2. It gives them control of the 5th largest economy in the world.

3. They salivate at all the resources they can rape out of CA.

4. Diane Feinstein is going on 100, and it would enable them to pick her replacement if it comes to that.

5. It allows them to 'own", or " stick it to the libs". They'd love that most of all.

Make no mistake. If they can take out Newsome, they will do it in a heartbeat.

My solution if it seems close would be for Feinstein to resign and then have Newsome nominate himself to fill her seat.

This is too important to take lightly.

snip....

The petitioners' grievances include:

"Laws he endorsed favor foreign nationals, in our country illegally, over that of our own citizens. People in this state suffer the highest taxes in the nation, the highest homelessness rates, and the lowest quality of life as a result. He has imposed sanctuary state status and fails to enforce immigration laws. He unilaterally over-ruled the will of the people regarding the death penalty. He seeks to impose additional burdens on our state by the following; removing the protections of Proposition 13, rationing our water use, increasing taxes and restricting parental rights."

My response;
They hate immigrants unless they are white. Many companies and farmers rely on immigrants to do the jobs Californians won't do.

The voters have voted several times to raise our own taxes to pay for several things.

Republicans don't give a shit about the homeless... they just don't want to see them where they shop, eat or live.
When new housing solutions are proposed enough people on all sides of the political spectrum oppose them because they don't want them living in their neighborhoods so they continue to see them in the streets and their anger/fake concern never subsides. So another housing site is located and the residents in that neighborhood shoot down the proposal. Rinse and repeat. (BTW - these people want them to live near industrial sites where there are no grocery stores or medical clinics).

It's basically because he doesn't support their pet issues and see an opportunity to create fuckery (since people were OUTRAGED that Newsom went to a friends wedding dinner party and they didn't wear masks but were following the rules at the time for the most part). It was enough of a scent of red meat to throw to rapid dogs.
