About one-third of U.S. troops who have been offered a Covid vaccine have declined the inoculation, initial Pentagon data show. The choice still allows personnel to deploy.

...in the early 70’s. A battalion formation for everyone to get the shot. Col. wanted to know why. “Every time I got the shot I got sick.”

Col. said, OK; but if I got the flu and didn’t show up for duty he’d hit me with an Article 15.

I never got the flu. Others who got the shot - did! Go figure.

We stood in long lines and were told not to bother to refuse, because it was mandatory. I got shot with a gun, and it really hurt -- but not for long.

How does that look on a Commander’s Unit Readiness status?

Shot records used to be maintained in the readiness files and before deployment you got your shots as needed. What the Eff is happening?

I know several soldiers who spoke about having to get vaccines before being deployed and all of their fellow soldiers who objected and found ways to get around it somehow.

Only if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration fully licensed the COVID-19 vaccine would the Defense Department consider making it mandatory, then-Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said at the time.

Same with the Hep vaccine.

Funny military story.

We were required to have an annual HIV Test. I was on a Ship and one of my Shipmates and I went down to medical to get it done. There were two lines. One was kind of long with about 15 people waiting. The other line had two or three.

I saw my LPO in the long line and figured I'd hang with him for a bit. No hurry to get back on the freezing deck anyway. The guy I came down with got in the other line.

My line was actually moving quicker than the other line.

A few minutes later, my friend came by with what looked like an Ace Bandage wrapped around his arm. He said; " that fucker must have jabbed me 7 times before he found a vein".

As he walked away my LPO "Mace" said; "I should have warned him not to get in "Shakies" line".

They were little green pills that came in small packets. Maybe hydroxychloroquine.

I know that we had to sign a form that said we couldn't donate blood for like 5 years or something crazy like that.
