I believe the reason he eventually half-apologized to Sandra Fluke is that he realized there was a non-trivial chance that, even though she had testified before Congress, she might still be considered a private figure, because if simply testifying could strip you of your privacy protections nobody would want to do it.

I loved when Limbaugh got his stupid ass booted off of ESPN NFL Gameday for his racist rant about Donovan McNabb of the Eagles. I remember they showed co-host Tom Jackson's face while he was talking and he looked like he was ready to revert to his Denver Bronco playing days as a linebacker and take Limbaugh out.

The NFL also rebuffed both Limbaugh and Trump when they attempted to buy into the Rams and Bills, respectively. Too bad America as a whole didn't reject these two the way the NFL did.
