Republicans keep throwing tantrums about school reopenings. Here's why.

GOP officials say their goal is to make 'a big deal' out of the issue to win back suburban voters.

Republicans are attacking President Joe Biden, Democrats, and teachers unions over schools reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Their arguments vary — if businesses are open, why not schools? Aren't teachers essential workers? Children don't are less susceptible to the virus, so why can't they return to in-person learning? And how are parents supposed to work from home and watch their kids are the same time?

Some of those arguments — that children somehow are in less danger of catching the virus and therefore in-person schooling is fine — have been debunked. Children, after all, can still develop COVID-19, and while fewer of them have become infected in the past year than adults, they can certainly spread the virus to their adult teachers and school staff.

To all of the parents that think that this is a winning strategy for the fascists trying to do this.............think about the absolute failure of an asshole and "all" of his minions that didn't anything about this deadly virus, but shift the blame and the costs onto the states, we would not be in this shape if that traitor had any principles other than thinking of his absolute hate for this country and the people, and always betraying this country for his own profit, he was and they the republicans in power are still are gaslighting everyone to hide there absolute failure to do anything.............

2. And where about half the customers do things like

wipe their noses on their sleeves (or yours), lick or bite each other, and like to wear their masks as headbands.

3. The question for me always is....

Is the school going to adopt the proper mitigation strategies? Are kids going to be punished/sent home if they refuse to wear a mask because their parents tell them covid is "fake news"

There is a difference between opening a school safely and opening it for "business as usual".

5. Because we all know that in districts that are run by conservatives....

It will be business as usual, and when little Johnny gets suspended for not wearing his mask, the parents and school board will have a fit.

4. It's like not a single one of them ever took a science class in their lives. Or know how to google

viruses and its transmissibility.

6. The Republican leaders and their constituents should have followed advice from the start.

Their refusals to mandate masks, closes church gatherings, etc only prolonged the recovery. They should have been screaming at Trump to do something and Pence for that matter.

This is of their own making and as usual they are now trying to turn it onto the Democrats.

This shit is so tiring and I really don't understand why their people can't see through this old song and dance.
Everyone would be so much better off if they would hold these assholes accountable.
