What Is The Plan when Covid is finally beaten and 10-20-million Americans are still out of work

with no chance of finding a job because their old jobs are gone forever, they’ve been out of work “too long” for recruiters to take them seriously, and they’ve grown “too old” to be considered employable in a job market wracked by rampant ageism?

Many of these Americans will have exhausted their savings and taken on high levels of debt to survive the pandemic. What happens once the pandemic is declared “over?” When unemployment beneits are no longer extended, when relief checks from the Feds are in the rear-view mirror? When the eviction moratoriums are a thing of the past?

Do we throw them out on the streets and let them starve?

Again, what’s the plan?

We need a progressive government to move into the future.

With Republicans it'd mean $600 social security checks, cat food and cutting prescriptions in half.

President Biden needs to start taking the cash out of the wealthy hides of our homegrown Billionaires.

One-time 5% wealth tax. 1% annual Wealth Tax. Per-Transaction Wall Street fee. Capital gains taxed as regular income.

That's a start.

The economic devastation left by trump and republicans. You should post your Republican talking points somewhere else.

Don’t give me that “RW talking points” bullshit.

It’s a legitimate question based on long-term negative effects of the pandemic and tRump’s botching of our response to the same.

Next time, try answering the question, rather than pulling a RW stunt.

Do you think Biden can? He hasn't been on the job a month yet.

Maybe you should lay out your plan.

Trump left behind the biggest mess for his successor of any president since FDR took over from Hoover. First, we actually need to beat the pandemic (which we cannot take for granted with variants popping up). Then we have to make sure we retain the Senate and the House. Without that, it'll be impossible to implement any plan Biden comes up with.

Supposedly LA is giving 5,000 shots a day. Fresno county is getting 8,000 shots PER WEEK.

during his campaign and more recently in his latest town hall as a president. It is one of his chief concern. He outlined several proposals ranging from infrastructure, green energy to initiatives connected to combating covid as part of the 1.9 trillion package that is going to pass under reconciliation.
There are many articles detailing the plans, for example

15. The Plan is Democrats will do the heavy lifting as always--

Democrats will tackle social issues such as LGBT policies. Democrats will decriminalize cannabis. Democrats will try their damn best to repair the ACA. Democrats will try to pass an Immigration Bill. Democrats will tackle Homelessness. Democrats will try to raise the minimum wage. Democrats will continue to eradicate Covid. Democrats will try to get relief to Student Loan borrowers.

Democrats will try to repair some of the terrible problems T***p and his complicit Repubs caused here and abroad.

In short, Democrats will Govern while battling opposition from Republicans.

IMO, the United States of America is ripe for enacting a UBI. A UBI will save Americans from ruin. A UBI will get Americans out of extreme poverty, to include older Americans on Social Security as their only income. UBI will be a standard driver of the economy during fluctuations and job loss due to AI and Automation.

Republicans have no answers for anything. They are only in government to grift or stop progress. Their policies only benefit a fewer and fewer portion of the population. Republicans are a danger to the health of America.
