Now about Qruz, what did we think he was going to do? Most of the options were already taken so he couldn't just do a fly over, play a guitar, or throw paper towels. Leaving was one of the few options that wasn't going to be a clear copy from someone else's playbook.
Now that he is back, do we think he will do anything to help? Really?
He isn't like a liberal. Beto and José Andrés really didn't have to do a lot of soul searching to come up with their response. Qruz can't just think like someone who cares and come up with a responsible and compassionate decision. There isn't anyone he can ask either. He doesn't have any employees who care, and they wouldn't last a week if they did.
So now Qruz is in a terrible bind. How can he look like a compassionate person and at the same time avoid loosing his base by accidentally helping someone who isn't rich and white?
