(15,823 posts)He won by 3 percent last time and more then 3 percent of the repugs are pissed off from this disaster. Not only that but Texas continues to get people from blue states like California and the Inevitable will occur. Texas turns blue.

(36,478 posts)Nationwide, I don't think January 6th will hurt the GOP much. Nor will denying climate change, or challenging mask mandates, or pretty much anything they do. They simply go on TV & spin their misdeeds anyway they can & republican voters buy it. A big part of the republican mindset is never admitting when you're wrong. They think that's a weakness & their voters are the same. For all the reports of people leaving the GOP after January 6th, remember that 11 million more people turned out to vote for the Con in 2020 than in 2016. That's after four years of seeing what a POS he is.
