Nearly 3,100 people died of covid-19 every day in January - that's one every 28 seconds. It's easy to see those enormous numbers as dots on graphs, but real people witnessed those deaths and grieved them.

We spent 72 hours documenting the terrible toll.

He died on New Year's Day, spent Christmas in the hospital.

May our former president be made to endure the collective pain of those he has hurt.

His whole family got it, so we won't have his Memorial until mid March. They have all recovered, thankfully.
