Ukraine does the right thing: It has just sanctioned Putin's chief agent in Ukraine, Viktor Medvedchuk, & his wife for terrorism. The US sanctioned him for instigating the Russian occupation of Crimea in March 2014. His wife holds most of their companies.

Ukraine should have sanctioned Medvedchuk in 2014, but Germany wanted him as a go-between with Putin (why would anybody want Putin's agent as a middleman?) & Poroshenko had substantial private diesel business with Medvedchuk. Good riddance!

Indeed, Russian & Ukrainian businessmen tend to claim that their spouses own their real assets so that they don't lose them because of their illegal behavior.
