He's still working after business conflicts, lying under oath, defying a judge, screwing with a presidential election and tanking the performance of the operation he oversees. The Board has received letters, the facts speak for themselves.

On what possible basis is this guy still on the job?????

Don't forget, it was once worth impeaching a Democratic president over. (Although, of course, the Repugs would havw impeached Bill Clinton for drinking the last cup of coffee and not making a fresh pot, if they thought they could get away with it.)

The Republican’s memo also optimistically projected that DeJoy’s plan would result in “some mail” being “delayed by one day.” This was likely an extreme underestimate. During the spring and early summer of 2020, before DeJoy was appointed, on-time rates for USPS packages averaged around 92%. After he became postmaster general and implemented his cuts, on-time rates plunged by around 10%. Even in late January 2021, DeJoy’s changes were still causing mail backlogs from the holiday rush.

16. I'm in Colorado, and I use the USPS's "Informed Delivery" service

where you get an email every day there is mail for you telling you what it is.

It's not perfect; big mail pieces don't scan and they just have to tell you there's a mailpiece with no image, for instance. But it is extremely helpful when every step hurts.

And packages are shown, often even a day or two in advance of expected delivery - and you can go to a detail page which shows the expected delivery time - and if it's been delivered, where it is (in my case that is either "mailbox" or "porch" depending on size.

But I have noticed something interesting about packages - that, if the expected delivery time is between 1 and 4 pm, my regular carrier has it, and it will be delivered. But, if the expected delivery time is by 8 pm, a contractor has it, an there is at least a 95% chance it will not be delivered that day and will not be delivered until it is given to the regular carrier.

I need to go get a package today, probably from my porch as it's almost certainly too big for the box - that was supposed to be delivered by 8 pm two days ago.

I'm sure the cut in overtime is related to this.

Incidentally, my mail service here is much batter and much faster than it is in many places and I give my local people credit for that.

(Informed Delivery) - I've had it for over a year and as late as last March I could set my watch by the daily delivery of my e-mailed notice. It was ALWAYS there by 8 AM.
NOT any more. Sometime, rarely, it will still be there by 8, but more like 8:30, 9, and sometimes even 10. It is a great service and I'm all for supporting the USPS, but I'm only pointing out that these delays in the notification began when DeJoy started 'doing his thing.'

DeJoy destroyed millions of $ worth of mail sorting machines.

Surely there must be a cost-benefit analysis to make such a business decision. Let's see it.

Otherwise, figure sabotage.
