Fauci says he lost the ability to influence Trump after the president decided to 'focus on the reele

reelection' instead of stopping the virus

The White House medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci has described the turning point when he believes he no longer had influence over President Donald Trump.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph published Friday, Fauci opened up further on the dysfunction inside the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fauci, the longtime head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who served on Trump's coronavirus task force, has stayed in his post under President Joe Biden after Trump left office.

In the interview, Fauci said he had some influence on Trump initially but lost it after Trump decided to "essentially act like there was no outbreak."

So of course he tried to get everyone to pretend it didn't exist, was a hoax, was already solved, whatever.

His abject incompetence was a disaster for America, yet it also saved us from him becoming a permanent dictator.

He was the only one who had influence on this topic and his plan was to pretend to fight it until May and then declare victory. The virus had other plans.

Had he done the right things, said the right things, and supported people like Dr. Fauci, he would have easily won re-election.

He handed President Biden the biggest campaign issue of the last century on a silver platter.

I'm sorry for all those who died because of this monster, but thrilled that he did not act appropriately, so that we could get a decent, honorable and intelligent President in Joe Biden.

I assumed it would use competent advisers and would do the right thing. I guess I was wrong.

handle more than 1 thing at a time, he helped kill thousands if not more, Americans...I hope that republican senators (and house members too) try to swallow this fact down, but won't, they'll barf it up, trying to twist themselves into all kinds of yoga positions (like what ted cruz is doing now) to avoid responsibility, blame others for their failures.
