regulations and etc. They'll all come running back eager to vote for him once again. A sad situation for the state.

They’re never held accountable so I’d be shocked if he doesn’t win again.

3. Texas really has potential to turn blue

The problem is it's a LOT slower than we all would hope. Republicans have engineered voter suppression and gerrymandering to an art form that makes them difficult to dislodge from power.

We can't win with a simple majority. We must have record turnout and not just in presidential cycle elections. This is our biggest hurdle.

I suspect it will be a few more cycles before we can meet it. Apathy is strong simply because it has been decades since regular people have been able to exercise power, so they have disengaged from the process. Re-engaging them is key to moving forward.
