FEMA is providing drinking water.
Because of this, bottled water is returning to stores.
We have water and no longer need to boil.

We did not have any damage to our home. ..
Unless you consider my tropical plants..lol

People who had burst pipes will qualify for FEMA assistance.

No one knows what the feds will do about utility bills. The governor says outrageous bills are not acceptable. Our utility is holding off calculating the bills for the storm period. I think most people can afford an increase of 25% or so, but 500% is crazy. That is just outright greed and I wonder if it is even legal?

I saw a picture of a completely frozen fish tank.

How cold did it get outside?

The highest temp between Sunday and Thursday was 35.

The average annual low where I live is about 25 degrees. A one night deal, followed by warming the next day. Not cold enough, long enough to kill alot of tropicals.

I'm from Wisconsin and my room up there had icicles on the inner sill all winter long, and I could see my breath. (It was pretty pathetic and I was always sick) Our house in WI had heat, but my dad kept it at 55 and my room was over the garage.

My house here did not approach that kind of cold.

I had to go live in my car.

Then I got power and heat again.

for so long. We've "freed up" $1.3 billion that was supposed to be theirs for rebuilding and also released restrictions Trump/Repubs placed on over $4 billion.

I hope your fellow Texans can dig out of this hole and start electing Dems again. Maybe then you can have a decent state government.
