Meghan McCain faces backlash after calling for Dr. Fauci's firing, complaining about vaccine rollout

Last edited Mon Feb 22, 2021, 09:14 PM - Edit history (1)

Meghan McCain is facing backlash after she called for the firing of Dr. Anthony Fauci because she hadn't received the COVID-19 vaccine despite being a prominent figure.

During Monday’s episode of "The View," McCain shared how "frustrated" she is with Dr. Fauci following his appearance on CNN’s "State of the Union." McCain played a brief segment of his interview with CNN's Dana Bash, during which Fauci declined to recommend whether vaccinated grandparents are safe to see their unvaccinated grandchildren yet.

"There will be recommendations coming out. I don’t want to be making a recommendation now on public TV," said Fauci, the Biden administration's top health adviser. "I would want to sit down with the team and take a look at that."

On Monday, McCain, 36, said the fact that Fauci "can’t tell me that if I get the vaccine, if I’ll be able to have dinner with my family" is "terribly inconsistent messaging."

Oh FFS woman. A lot more people more vulnerable than you have not yet been able to get the vaccine.

With high net worth seniors. There are just too many more deserving people that need to get it before me, medical personnel, first responders, grocery, retail and teachers need to be ahead of me. I double mask, spray my hands and stay 6 feet away from people.

She’s got a penchant for Polly-parroting the term ‘cancel culture,’ and if there’s a prolonged debate about whether she should get kicked to the curb, she’ll be even more insufferable than usual.

she should have grabbed a friend after college, a fistful of mom's money, and gone backpacking around the world a bit, or do a couple of years in the Peace Corps to have some life experiences. It appears she got out of college, and lived in a NYC apartment, and that's enough life experience for her.

She does not appears to have been anywhere, or done anything that would give her a breadth of experiences to draw on to back up the sack of right wing bull crap about every issue that she is always slinging around.

Your 'Resident made this far worse for us all yet you kept supporting him. F**K off! Your money does not make you anymore important than the rest of us. Frankly, I think your father would be ashamed of you right now.

Shut up and stand in line.

I hoped she would have been decided to stay home with her newborn. My sister refuses to watch the show now that she’s back and would be angry to hear she attacked Dr. Fauci who she loves!

Her mom voted for Biden.

I don’t mind her. I agree with nothing. But I don’t mind her.
