The constant drumbeat of his harassment and other wrong doings will be a distraction. It shouldn't be, but it will. I don't want Dems or President Biden to have to constantly answer to the charges against Cuomo.
Given his reputation, I'm sure there will be more to come. Whether its sexual harassment or other bullying, harassment, wrongdoings, or appearance of wrongdoing.

And yes, Dems are held to a higher standard. One of his predecessors, Elliot Spitzer, got the deathknell after it was revealed he was seeing prostitutes. I loved him as NY AG and was delighted to see him as Gov

March 17, 2008. Spitzer said at a news conference in Manhattan:

I cannot allow for my private failings to disrupt the people's work. Over the course of my public life, I have insisted—I believe correctly—that people take responsibility for their conduct. I can and will ask no less of myself. For this reason, I am resigning from the office of governor

Sidenote - Guess who played a hand in escalating that scandal? None other than Roger Stone. He planted the black socks story.

Mysteriously, before anyone could even imagine Spitzer's spectacular fall, Stone was predicting it in cryptic emails and telegrams. "Eliot's going down," he told Rich Baum, the secretary to then Gov. Spitzer, in an email. While there is no doubt that Spitzer provided the weapon and the ammunition for his own political demise, did Stone play the role of the hit man?

Then there was Eric Schneiderman former NY AG- was once thought to be a lock to succeed Cuomo, combusted in spectacular fashion as well.

I don't know what it is with some of these NY politicians. UGH.

Whether he should resign and/or face some kind of censure depends on how he handles himself in the next few days. I’m not fond of how Franken was pushed out. If Cuomo is truly contrite and stops this nonsense, then maybe he learns something, and that’s a good thing. He needs to speak out against his own behavior, then offer reparations.
